Why a flat fee?
Many funders don't allow grant writers to be paid a percentage of an award, and the Grant Professionals Association Code of Ethics says grant professionals shouldn't work for commissions or contingency fees. We agree. A flat fee keeps our advice honest: we only suggest grants we think are worth your time.

No. We charge flat fees only, never a percentage or success bonus, in line with the Grant Professionals Association Code of Ethics. Our fee isn't contingent on the grant and isn't paid out of the award you're applying for.
Who submits the application?
You do, from your own account and under your own name. We never ask for your passwords, and we don't contact funders on your behalf.
What do you need from us?
Your mission, EIN, IRS determination letter (for nonprofits), budgets, program details, outcomes, board list and any attachments the funder requires. Our intake questionnaire lists it all. You're responsible for making sure the facts are accurate, and you review everything before it's submitted.
Who do you work with?
Small nonprofits (especially youth sports, arts and mentoring programs) and small businesses anywhere in the U.S. We work by email, so location doesn't matter.
How fast is it?
The free list arrives within 2 business days. For applications, it depends on the deadline and when we get your information. Your order form sets the info-due date and the draft-delivery date.
How do we pay?
By card through a secure payment link or invoice, or by check. The fee is paid in full before work starts. We can provide a W-9 on request.
What if we need to cancel?
Full refund if you cancel before work starts, or if we cancel before delivery. 50% back if you cancel after work starts but before we deliver. No refund after delivery. For the 3-Pack, each application counts separately.
How do Grant Alerts billing and cancellation work?
Grant Alerts is $29 a month and renews automatically each month. Email us anytime to cancel and future charges stop.
Is our information kept private?
Yes. We use it only for your project and don't name you as a client without your permission. Please don't email us Social Security or bank account numbers.
